From the dataset abstract

The dataset includes the answers to the Nice city centre for visitors survey. The data was collected between 17 September and 19 October 2014. The survey received nearly 1,800 map comments.

Among other things, the survey asked: What is it like walking in the city centre? What is the best place for excitement or a good place to calm down? What do you think should be done to make streets, squares, parks and walking tunnels more pleasant?

The answers will help the City Planning Department’s planners to pay attention to the places and issues that the residents see as the most important. The survey is part of the pedestrian city centre general plan that is being prepared. The planning work will begin in 2015.

The fields of the data:

The field QUESTION in the data is the category of the map comment, i.e. the characterisation given to the map entries in the Kerrokartalla service (set by the survey author).

SUBJECT and COMMENT are written by the respondents. If the respondent has not written anything in the box that opens after the map entry, it says “Vain karttamerkintä” in SUBJECT. Otherwise, the field shows the beginning of the respondent’s text. COMMENT contains the full answer.

PITUUSASTE and LEVEYSASTE are the coordinates of the map entry. The coordinate system of the dataset is ETRS-GK25.
