From the dataset abstract

This dataset is associated with the dynamic report titled Finnish disability pension: Recipients by illness, which is part of the Kelasto statistical database. The dataset includes end-of-year data starting from 2003.

The dataset includes data on recipients of disability pension under the national or earnings-related pension scheme. The data are broken down by main diagnostic category, gender, age group, country of residence and municipality of residence.

Disability pensions include full and partial disability pensions, disability pension awarded for an indefinite period, rehabilitation subsidy, and, until 2008, individual early retirement pension. Pensions paid to recipients living abroad are included as well. Pension recipients include persons who during the statistical reference month have received pension benefits for said month.
