From the dataset abstract

Data on buildings in Vantaa by intended use, type of dwelling and district. The data is from the beginning of the year (1 January). The dataset is based on the register data of Vantaa’s Building Control Department.

Explanations of the columns can be found in the metadata document (in Finnish).

Note: The data for 2019–2020 is not fully comparable with the data for 2016–2018 due to the change in the register system. The data for 2016–2018 contain inaccuracies related to floor area and volume data.
