The Sinetti archive information system operated by the City of Helsinki Archives provides collection data from archived documents of the City of Helsinki. The document collections mostly comprise permanently retained, archived documents created as a result of the activities of the City’s former agencies and departments and its current divisions. In addition, the Sinetti service has more than 1.6 million pages of documents from the City of Helsinki, including 20,000 drawings, 10,000 maps, city government reports and more. Materials are digitized and added to the service all the time.
Information on the Sinetti system can also be found in the national Finna service. At the time of publication (May 2022), more than 200,000 records from the Helsinki City Archives can be found in Finna. The Finna service operated by the National Library has an [open interface] (https://www.kiwi.fi/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=53839221) through which you can search the materials of the City Archives.
