The dataset depicts the first World War-era fortifications, as well as some details of the fortifications. The data is based on a survey commissioned by the Public Works Department of the City of Helsinki in 1996 of the fortifications of the First World War in Helsinki. The detailed attributes may have changed since the survey year 1996.
The fortifications depicted in the dataset and inventoried in 1996 have also been examined later. The 2014 inventory updates the information related to the earthwork fortifications, and the report provides more information to those interested. You can have a look at the report here (in Finnish).
The dataset is best used at a scale of 1:4,000 to 1:500. The data can be used, for example, with the cadastral map and base map.

Coordinate systems:
- Maintained in ETRS-GK25 (EPSG:3879), can be projected to other coordinate systems. See GetCapabilities query for other possible coordinate systems
