This dataset is associated with the dynamic report titled Recipients of pension and average pensions in Finland, which is part of the Kelasto statistical database. The dataset includes end-of-year data starting from 2003.
There are data on the number of recipients of pension paid out from the national pension and/or earnings-related pension schemes, and about their average total pensions. Pensions paid to recipients living abroad are included as well. The data are broken down by benefit, gender, age group, pension scheme, country of residence and municipality of residence.
Pension recipients include persons who during the statistical reference month received pension benefits from the national pension and/or earnings-related pension scheme for said month. The total pension can consist of national pensions and earnings-related pensions, pensions associated with the above that are paid under the laws governing motor vehicle insurance, employment accidents and occupational diseases and military accidents and service-related illnesses, and guarantee pensions. Child increases, front-veterans’ supplements and - until 2007 - housing and care allowances for pensioners are included in total pensions.
