This dataset is associated with the dynamic report titled 'Number of recipients of labour market subsidy by cumulative days of payment and basis of eligibility', which is part of the Kelasto statistical database. It includes data on the number of recipients of labour market subsidy and integration allowance at the end of the month/year. The dataset contains annual data starting from 2014 and monthly data from January 2018.
Persons who receive unemployment benefits for the last working day in a given month, and the payment is made within the following three calendar months, are recorded after the fact as recipients for that month. For example, this includes persons whose unemployment benefit is dated to the last day of December and paid out by the end of March of the following year.
The cumulative number of labour market subsidy days represents the number of days for which the recipient has been paid labour market subsidy on account of unemployment as of the cut-off date for the statistics. The cumulative count is restarted if the recipient satisfies specific conditions regarding the terms of employment.
The benefits are divided according to the basis of eligibility, i.e., into benefits paid during unemployment and benefits paid during participation in employment-promotion services.
