Do I need to register in order to use the service?
No. You can browse and download datasets as well as subscribe to dataset updates from Open Data without registration.
Registration is required only if you want to add datasets to the service, become a member of an organisation, or manage datasets.
I need help using the service. What should I do?
Our guide and FAQs are meant for exactly these kinds of situations! You can search for the information you need from the guide and the FAQs using the guide search. If you cannot find what you’re looking for, you can contact the service administrators using the contact form — we’re happy to help.
How can I add purchase invoice data to the service?
Adding purchase invoice data to the Open Data service can be done for example as following:
- Choose a person from your organisation who will maintain the datasets in the Open Data service. This person must register to the service.
- When the person has registered to the service, the person can request administrator rights for the organisation from the page of that particular organisation or add their own organisation to the service.
- After this, the person can add datasets for the organisation.
You can find instructions for adding datasets from the user guide of the service in Add data for the producer -section (in Finnish).
Remember to give keywords for the data so it can be found from the service. In addition, remember to define access rights for the data by selecting a licence.
If you are adding purchase invoice data, also familiarise yourself with the purchase invoices added by other organisations.
I noticed that there's something missing from the guide. What should I do?
Contact the service administrators using the contact form. Tell us what is missing from the guide, and where you think that information should be. The service is being continuously improved, and feedback is always welcome!
I found a link that does not lead anywhere. What should I do?
Contact the service administrators and tell us which link is not working correctly.
If it’s a data resource link, or other link in a dataset, contact the dataset’s publisher. The service is being continuously improved, and feedback is always welcome!
Do you offer statistics about the service?
You can see different statistics about the service on the Statistics-page. For example, you can find the most popular search terms and most viewed datasets, as well as most popular publishers. You can see statistics about a single dataset or data resource from the sidebar on their pages.
